Rexel - Rexel reaches its 2020 goals ahead of schedule

In 2018, the Group reached its goal of lowering the greenhouse gas emissions of its operations by 30%, achieving a rate of 36.9%. Sales of energy-efficient solutions were multiplied by 2.07 as of 2018, surpassing the Group's 2020 goal to double them.

A new sustainable warehouse in Cestas
In November 2018, Rexel France set up a new logistics warehouse measuring 18,000 m² next to Bordeaux. Cestas 2 complies with ICPE (Installation Classée pour la Protection de l'Environnement) and BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) regulations, which guarantee low energy consumption and limited environmental impact.
The new building supplies 20% of its own energy needs thanks to the installation of 729 solar panels on the roof and five solar parking canopies. Together, the installations are capable of producing 200 kWc and lowering CO2 emissions by 369 tons over 30 years.

Rexel France, in partnership with the environmental organization Recylum, offers its customers three recycling options: branch drop-off, the provision of containers at their offices, or at their construction sites. All used equipment can be recycled: building equipment, network infrastructure, communication security, climate control, energy production, measurement and fixation tools, lighting, and plumbing.
